Good News from Aging Well, Inc.
Classes are once again being offered at Scouters Hall in North Smithfield, 3 extra classes have been added! We will be adhering to all RI Department of Health Covid-19 regulations to keep everyone safe. The number of class participants will be limited for social distancing. North Smithfield Food Pantry
September pick-up dates:
Tuesday, September 21st and 28th @ 5:30 PM
Saturday, September 18th and 25th @ 10:00 AM
The Food Pantry is for North Smithfield residents.
You must have a photo ID and a bill that confirms your North Smithfield address. You can attend the Food Pantry all four times it is open per month.
The Pantry is located at the Slatersville Congregational Church
UCC on the Common.
Due to the pandemic, the food is distributed through a drive through at the church. Please stay in your car and line up on Green Street and you will be welcomed and instructed. We are also asking clients to please return to mask wearing.

The Biden administration is telling House Speaker Mike Johnson it's up to state governors to decide if the National Guard is needed to subdue pro-Palestine protests on college campuses. Johnson called on President Biden to call in the National Guard after visiting Columbia University on Wednesday. The Speaker said "there is an appropriate time for the National Guard" if the protests aren't contained quickly.
